Potato power!!!!!!!
On the open afternoon Thursday the 7th. We made an LED light up using electricity from 4 potatoes! We used 5 crocodile clips,4 copper pieces, 4 Zinc screws, 4 potatoes and one LED light. It simple you just put the copper in one side and the Zinc in the other side. Connect the crocodile clip to the copper and Zinc and then put it in a square and when you have got to the last two crocodile clips you will need to get your LED light and get the copper end and put that on the female leg which is bendy and then you need to get the male leg which is the bendy leg you need to get the crocodile clip from the Zink and clip it on and then you should have a green light. And then that is how you make electricity.

Cake stall
The cake stall was in Kirkbymoorside on Wednesday 16th March 2016. There were lots of yummy treats. My mummy bought a cake and I got a chocolate egg and a chocolate finger. It was amazing how many people came. £150 was raised for the school.

Laura’s Summer Holiday
Farndale Show was held on Bank Holiday Monday – the 31st August. It was raining and miserable when I got up and it remained the same all day. I went on the horse and cart with my Granddad Wilf and we won first prize. We won a red rosette, a huge trophy and £10.00, which Granddad let me keep. I had a delicious lunch in the Village Hall with my Daddy, served by Emma and lots of other helpers. Later that day I competed in the gymkhana, but I had to ride Sky’s pony Spot and wear Lorna’s Hat, as my Dad was chatting away and my saddle, bridle and hat were locked in the pickup. I then rode Lorna’s pony called Dylan in the leading rein bran tub race – and I WON! I ended up very MUDDY. Mummy had to soak my jodphurs, rub them with magic soap and wash them twice before they were clean.
